Getting Started
KidCards helps children connect with new friends by creating printable "business cards" they can share. Cards can include gaming usernames (like Roblox or Minecraft), allergy information, and parent contact details. Basically everything kids need to actually follow up after meeting a new friend at school, camp, or the playground.
Tap "Sign In" and choose to continue with your Google, Apple or Facebook account. Your account is created automatically the first time you sign in.
Yes! You can create cards and print them at home completely free. We also offer a Premium tier ($3/year) that adds QR codes linking to an online page you can update anytime—handy when usernames or contact info changes.
KidCards is designed for elementary and middle school-aged children, though kids of any age can use it. Parents create and manage the cards, and children simply hand them out to new friends.
Creating & Printing Cards
Just head over to the card editor. Add your child's name, pick a theme, then add sections for the information you want to share, like gaming usernames, allergies, or parent contact info. You can drag sections to reorder them and preview your card as you go.
Cards can include gaming usernames (Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and more), allergy information (important for playdates and parties), and contact details (a parent phone number or email so other parents can reach out). You choose what to include - add as much or as little as you'd like.
Tap the download button to save your card as an image. You can then print multiple cards on a single sheet using any photo printing software, or simply paste them into a document. We recommend cardstock for durability, but regular paper works fine too.
Absolutely. Once you're done creating your card, click "Save and Continue" to save it, then click "Send to Zazzle" on the next screen. The front and back of your card will be uploaded, and once complete, you can click "Continue to Zazzle" to customize your order and have them printed and shipped to you.
Premium Features & QR Codes
Premium adds a QR code to your card that links to an online page with your child's information. The big benefit: when usernames or contact details change, you just update the online page—no need to print new cards.
When someone scans the QR code on your child's card with their phone camera, they're taken to a simple page showing all the card information. You control what appears on that page, and you can update it anytime.
Your QR code will stop working at the end of your billing period, but you can still use KidCards for free: creating cards and printing them at home, just without the QR code feature. If you resubscribe later, your QR code will work again.
Premium is $3 per year (that's only a quarter a month). We keep the price low so it's accessible for every family.
Privacy & Safety
Only what you choose to put on the card. We don't collect full birth dates, schools, addresses, or any information beyond what's needed for the card to work. You're always in control of what's shared.
Only people who have the physical card (or scan its QR code, for Premium users). Card information isn't searchable online, listed in any directory, or visible to other KidCards users. It's shared only when your child hands someone a card.
Privacy is built into how KidCards works. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers. We don't collect unnecessary information. And we don't require children to have accounts—parents manage everything. Your family's information stays yours.
No. KidCards will never sell or share your personal information or your child's information with anyone, for any price.
Account & Settings
Sign in, then visit Account and click on the edit button for the card that you want to change. Make your edits, click Next, and they'll be saved automatically. If you have Premium, your QR code page updates instantly.
Yes! You can create and manage multiple cards under the same account. Just sign in and use the new card button in Account to create a new card for each child. Each card gets its own QR code if you have Premium.
Visit our account deletion page for instructions on how to permanently remove your account and all associated data from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
Go to Account to view your subscription status. You can upgrade to Premium or cancel your subscription from there. You can also manage billing details through your app store (Apple) or directly with us (Google/web).
Troubleshooting
Try refreshing the page or closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, try signing out and back in. Still stuck? Contact us and we'll help sort it out.
Make sure you're using the same sign-in method (Google, Apple or Facebook) you used when you first created your account. If you're still having trouble, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
First, make sure your Premium subscription is active (check in Account). If it is and the QR code still won't scan, try increasing your screen brightness or printing the card at a larger size. QR codes need enough contrast and size to scan reliably.
